II. Social Media Plug-ins

On our pages, including our “Social Media Newsroom” you will find social media plug-ins for selected platforms (e.g. Twitter, Xing, YouTube). These plug-ins are typically marked by a logo and written description.

Accessing a page of our services with such a plug-in in your browser will create a direct short connection to its servers. This serves to show the content of the plug-in. In this case, the cooperation partner will receive your IP address. In practice, this IP address cannot be linked to your name without further ado.

However, if you are also registered with one of the cooperation partners, they can generate your surf profile. Under certain conditions, the platform provider can then store a cookie on your computer. You decide via the settings of your internet browser whether or not you wish to allow such cookies.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, text files which are stored on your computer and which allow an analysis of your use of the website. The information gathered by the cookie on your use of the website are usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If, however, IP anonymisation has been activated on this website, Google will first shorten your IP address within the member countries of the European Union and other signatories of the agreement within the European Economic Area.

Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and then shortened there. As requested by the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to produce reports on website activities and to provide further services linked to the website usage and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be connected to other data by Google.

You can prevent the storing of the cookies through your browser software setting; however, we would like to point out to you that in this case you may not be able to make full use of the functions of this website. Furthermore, you can prevent the collection of data on your website usage (including your IP address) by cookies and the processing of those data by Google if you download and install the browser plug-in from the following link:

https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

Alternatively, instead of the browser add-on, especially if using mobile devices, you can prevent any recording by Google Analytics if you click on the following link:

De-activate Google Analytics.

This will generate an opt-out cookie which prevents future recording of your data when visiting this website. The opt-out cookie is only valid for this browser and only for our website and it will be stored on your device. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you will need to reset the opt-out cookie.

YouTube

On our websites we use a link by provider YouTube to incorporate videos. YouTube is an offer by Google Inc. When accessing this internet page your browser will establish a direct link with the YouTube servers. The content of the “YouTube” link will be directly transmitted to your browser and the browser will include it with the website. We therefore cannot control the volume of data which YouTube will record via the link.

For purpose and volume of data gathered and the processing and usage of this data, as well as your rights and settings options to protect your privacy, please refer to the data protection notes under https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy

If you are a registered member of YouTube and do not want YouTube to gather data about you via our website which they then link to member data they have stored on you, you will need to log out of YouTube before visiting our internet sites.

We would like to point out that as the operator of our pages, we have no knowledge of the content of data transferred or of their usage by Twitter. Only the user’s IP address, the URL of the relevant website will be transmitted to them when using the button but for no purpose other than the working of the button. For further information, please refer to Twitter’s data protection policy under https://twitter.com/privacy.

You can change your data protection settings with Twitter by accessing account settings under https://twitter.com/account/settings.

When calling up these internet pages, your browser will temporarily establish a link to the servers of XING AG (“XING”) which will provide the “XING Share Button” functions (in particular the calculation / display of the counter value). XING does not store any of your personal data when you call up these internet pages. In particular, XING does not store any IP addresses. When visiting a page of our website which includes such a plug-in, your browser will establish a direct connection with the Google servers, so that the content of the plug-ins is transmitted to your browser and the browser will then integrate it into the website. Information that you have visited our website will thus be transmitted to Google.

If while visiting our website you are logged into your personal user account with Google Plus or Google, Google will be able to link the visit to the website with your account. Any interaction with plug-ins, e.g. by clicking a button or leaving a comment means that this information is directly transmitted to Google and stored there. If you would like to prevent such data transmission, you will need to log out of your Google Plus or Google account before visiting our website. We do not have any influence on the volume and content of data which Google collects via their buttons. We assume that your IP address will also be recorded and transmitted.

You can obtain further information on the purpose, volume and use of the data recorded by Google Inc. in their data protection notes. This website can be accessed via URL https://www.google.com/intl/de/+/policy/+1button.html
